Sleep apnea definition is not breathing for a time period of 10 to 60 seconds. The person will suddenly gasp for breath when breathing resumes.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) usually impacts small joints such as those in the hands and feet. 
This chronic inflammatory disorder attacks joint linings, resulting in swelling that can be painful.

Rheumatoid arthritis can lead to deformity of the joint and erosion of bone.

Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease.
This means the body’s normal defense mechanism goes haywire. The body starts to attack itself .The infection-fighting white blood cells go after the joint lining.

This creates the inflammation which causes swelling. Inflammation brings on a flood of C-reactive proteins that cause the lining of the joint to thicken. C-reactive proteins can cause damage to the muscle tendons, ligaments near the joint, and the cartilage, destroying the whole joint.
