The all-too-brief period between the end of shorts season and the beginning of parka weather is a time of great bounty\u2014and we\u2019re not just talking about honeycrisp apples and pie-worthy pumpkins. With just enough bite in the air to necessitate a sturdy jacket, it's prime time to trot out your first-string outerwear, from shearling bombers to barn coats to leather blazers. Unfortunately, the broad selection of certified bangers on offer can make for some tough decisions. Luckily for anyone faced with such a conundrum\u2014say, the choice between a classic waxed cotton Barbour Bedale and a Levi\u2019s denim trucker\u2014things just got a little easier, thanks to a new collab between two of the season\u2019s outerwear GOATs.<\/p>\n

Bringing together more than 280 combined years of trans-Atlantic outerwear cred (the brands were founded just two decades apart, in 1873 and 1894, respectively), the new Levi\u2019s x Barbour collection is here just in time for peak outerwear season. Levi\u2019s, the American workwear pioneer, brings its signature denim and some of its most beloved silhouettes, while Barbour adds British country gentleman vibes with an unmistakable combo of beeswax-infused canvas, brown corduroy, and Ayrshire tartan. The result is 10 inspired remixes of icons like the Barbour Bedale, the Barbour Spey, and the Levi\u2019s Type II Trucker, as well as waxed-cotton baseball caps and a pair of sumptuous, pleated moss-green cords.<\/p>\n

\u200bAs anyone familiar with these brands\u2019 oeuvres would expect, the collab is at its best in pieces like the Levi\u2019s x Barbour Type II Waxed Trucker, which gets a full redo in Barbour's signature brown beeswax-treated canvas, complete with a corduroy collar and a tartan lining, plus a waxed cotton hood for good measure. Likewise, the Levi\u2019s x Barbour Bedale Denim Jacket remixes the beloved Bedale in dark indigo denim, with its brass hardware and XXL front pockets intact.<\/p>\n

The collection launches worldwide on October 30 and will be available for purchase on Levi.com, the Levi\u2019s App, in select Levi\u2019s Stores, and at Barbour retailers. If you\u2019re lucky enough to be in London, Tokyo, or a handful of other select locations on November 20, you can also peruse a Levi\u2019s x Barbour Re-Loved capsule, including one-of-a-kind vintage jackets and 501s that have been lovingly restored using Barbour\u2019s waxed fabrics. It\u2019s a boon for anyone who\u2019s serious about classic fall outerwear, but more importantly, it provides a best-of-both-worlds solution for anyone who can\u2019t decide if it\u2019s going to be a denim or waxed canvas kinda day.<\/p>\n
