One will, of course, notice that the new website has slightly higher prices than their old website, but the US site has prices all-inclusive, where the price you see is the only price you pay. There are no hidden fees and no duty payment requests prior to receiving your goods. And shipping is even free to the US.
The new entry price is still only $195, which is incredible and actually the lowest price on the market for welted footwear, even beating out Meermin’s lowest price by $10. But what is most impressive is the hand-welted seamless wholecuts they offer that are only priced at $425. That is a handlasted, handwelted shoes for under $450 and is really one of the only ones you can buy on a RTW basis. All others are a form of MTO or bespoke. For me, that is Blkbrd’s biggest strength: the Seamless Wholecut, not found elsewhere!
